Kim Baker Named CEO of The Eddy and VP of Continuing Care

St. Peter’s Health Partners (SPHP), the region’s largest health system, has appointed experienced health care administrator Kim Baker as the new chief executive officer of The Eddy, and vice president of continuing care for SPHP. In this role, Baker will oversee The Eddy’s comprehensive continuum of health care, supportive housing and community services, including seven nursing homes, five retirement campuses, two regional Alzheimer’s centers, a dedicated rehabilitation hospital, a home care division, The Community Hospice, and many other community service programs. The Eddy is a nationally recognized leader in compassionate, high-quality senior services. The network reaches 22 counties of northeastern New York and serves more than 47,500 people yearly. St. Peter’s Hospital Dedicates “The Hearst Pavilion” and Celebrates End of $35.5 Million Capital Campaign

St. Peter’s Hospital tonight named its newest, state-of-the-art, six-story patient care facility “The Hearst Pavilion.” The name for the building was unveiled this evening at a reception that also celebrated the end of the hospital’s $35 million Cornerstone Campaign. The capital campaign surpassed its goal by more than $500,000, raising a total of more than $35.5 million. The reception, held across South Manning Boulevard from St. Peter’s Hospital and The Hearst Pavilion, was attended by donors, community leaders, state and local officials, and officials of St. Peter’s Hospital and St. Peter’s Health Partners (SPHP). George R. Hearst III, publisher and CEO of the Times Union, was chairman of the St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation’s Cornerstone Campaign. Hearst is also a member of the board of St. Peter’s Health Partners and chairman of the SPHP board finance committee. St. Peter’s Health Partners Joins With Six Physician Practices to Form Unique Multi-Specialty Physician Group Practice

St. Peter’s Health Partners (SPHP) and six independent regional physician practices announced today the practices have joined the newly formed St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates, P.C., a non-profit, physician-governed, multi-specialty group that will function as a full affiliate corporation of SPHP. St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates, P.C., began operation on January 1, 2013. SPHP Medical Associates is one of the region’s largest multi-specialty physician group practices. The practices involved in today’s announcement include 106 physicians and 30 advanced practitioners in more than 12 specialties and subspecialties. These groups practice in more than 40 locations throughout a five-county region. All of the physicians and advanced practitioners have become employees of SPHP Medical Associates, as well as 451 additional individuals who were previously employed by the affiliating practices.
