NewsChannel 13: St. Mary’s New Cancer Treatment Center Designed by Cancer Patients

The Radiation Oncology department at Samaritan Hospital is now home to a brand new linear accelerator. This is the newest technology that can be offered to cancer patients and represents St. Peter’s Health Partners’ dedication to providing the best care possible for our patients.

Some patients may be better served receiving radiation treatments in the prone position (lying face down) when they receive radiation to their breast tissue.

John Weinhold, M.D., has joined St. Peter’s Medical Oncology/Hematology, a practice of St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates. Dr. Weinhold practices medical oncology and hematology at the Hildegard Medicus Cancer Center, located at Samaritan Hospital – St. Mary’s Campus in Troy.
