It’s critical that people in addiction recovery stay connected, but the COVID-19 pandemic is making this particularly challenging. WNYT’s Benita Zahn speaks to Jason Kirby, D.O, MBA, medical director for addiction services at St. Peter’s Health Partners, about ways on how people in recovery can stay the course.

Jason Kirby, D.O., MBA, was interviewed by WTEN/News 10 for its story on the rise of substance abuse during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Kirby discussed how St. Peter’s Health Partners is using telemedicine to reach patients and help them continue, or begin, their recovery.

St. Peter’s Health Partners has joined a new coalition to help fight opioid addiction. As part of the effort, SPHP has teamed up with WNYT for a special one-hour program on the epidemic. The program will air at 8 p.m. on Friday, April 13.
