Eddy SeniorCare recently launched “Compassion in Action,” a new program that enables seniors at the center a meaningful way to give back to the local community.

The program’s inaugural effort is a scarf project in which participants, many of whom are knitters and crocheters, made homemade scarves for those in need this winter. Staff and families also donated additional scarves for the worthwhile project.

About 30 scarves were collected and tied around the fencing at Veteran’s Park in Schenectady to encourage those who need the items to take them to keep warm during the cold winter.

Thanks to all those who participated in this heartwarming effort!
