Business Review: Senior Living in Upstate New York — Old Age, New Economy

September is Healthy Aging Month. It’s a great reminder for everyone, especially seniors, that there is no better time to re-invent yourself than right now.

The Community Hospice Foundation and the Northeast Health Foundation will present the “Swinging on a Star Gala,” an inaugural celebration and fundraiser benefiting The Community Hospice, Eddy Visiting Nurse Association and Palliative Care Partners, Saturday, Apr. 1, 5:30 – 11 p.m., at the Rivers Casino & Resort, Schenectady.

Residents at Eddy Hawthorne Ridge are joined by children from the YMCA Afterschool Program in East Greenbush twice a month during the school year for an intergenerational reading program.
