The Times Union published a story about the upcoming event celebrating the completion of Samaritan Hospital’s expansion. That event is now set for September 20th.
From the story:
The patient tower, a new emergency department and a multi-level parking garage are part of the $99 million Troy Master Facilities Plan that also includes improvements to convert St. Mary’s Hospital into an outpatient facility. Both are part of St. Peter’s Health Partners.
The two-level pedestrian bridge will connect the 1969-era patient tower designed by Chicago-based Perkins + Will with the new Heinrich Medicus patient pavilion, designed by Charlotte-based FreemanWhite, which is also nearing completion. Emergency department services, an intensive care unit, medical/surgical floor and a progressive care unit already occupy the five-story pavilion.
