Men are historically less likely than women to seek help for depression, substance use, and stressful life events. This can be due to a variety of reasons — social norms, reluctance to talk, or a tendency to downplay symptoms. But, as Dr. Adam Lammly of St. Peter’s Internal Medicine explains during an interview on WTEN/News10, it’s important for men to speak up and seek help — not just for their mental health, but for their overall health, too.
