WTEN: Managing Migraines

Richard Schuler, PA-C, AQH, with St. Peter’s MS and Headache Center, appeared on WTEN’s Women’s Health Wednesday segment. Schuler discussed why women are more likely than men to suffer from migraines. He also discussed risk factors for migraines and the latest treatments available, including a new nasal spray, recently approved by the FDA.

Women are three times more likely to get migraines than any other adult, according to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke.

Estrogen levels and changing environments, such as weather, are among the long list of contributing factors for migraine symptoms.
