The Saratogian/Troy Record: Tonko Pushes Heroes Act That Looks to Improve Medicare Wage Index

James K. Reed, M.D., president and CEO of St. Peter’s Health Partners, was interview by the Saratogian regarding the Medicare Wage Index. The formula, which calculates reimbursement for dollars spent on hospital services, would be adjusted as part of the HEROES Act.  If passed, the revision could bring $100 million of federal funding into Capital Region hospitals every year.

WNYT: Doctors Warn New Multi-System Inflammatory Syndrome is Not Common Childhood Illness

Arthur Gran, M.D., of Troy Infectious Disease, a practice of St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates, was interviewed by WNYT for its story on the multi-system inflammatory syndrome affecting children in the late stages of recovery from COVID-19.
Dr. Gran discussed the difference between the Kawasaki-like illness and Coxsackie virus, a common childhood illness.
